Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Pathway Co-Ordinator to join our outpatient team. You will liaise with colleagues and patients, manage queries face-to-face and by phone, and help ensure smooth clinic operation.

You will chase scans, book appointments, navigate capacity issues, monitor emails, and deputise for the team leader where required. We value compassion, openness and excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy outpatient environment or call handling experience.
• Confident communicator with ability to liaise with colleagues and patients.
• Strong organisational and time management skills; able to multi-task and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with patient queries face to face and over the telephone.
• Clinic preparation including chasing patient scans and escalating where appropriate.
• Booking patient appointments and navigating capacity issues.
• Monitoring and actioning emails from the generic inbox.
• Deputise for the team leader where necessary.
• Liaising with consultants, nurses, HCAs and other outpatient staff.
• Following up on any missing outcomes from clinic.
