Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF 7) or proven equivalent laboratory experience.
• Good interpersonal skills and a professional attitude; able to work as part of a team.
• Willing to undertake extensive training and competence-based assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory duties including data entry and chemical preparation.
• Assist with specimen dissection, paraffin wax embedding and microtomy.
• Undertake extensive training and completion of competence-based assessments.
• Contribute to the hospital department within a UKAS-accredited medical laboratory.
