Job summary

NHS Tayside’s Pathology Department at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee invites applications for a Biomedical Scientist to rotate through sections and contribute to routine surgical pathology and diagnostic cytology work.

The post requires an IBMS Accredited Honours Degree in Biomedical Science, HCPC registration, and the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Cellular Pathology within 2 years; training posts may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires IBMS Accredited Honours Degree in Biomedical Science.
• HCPC registration as Biomedical Scientist is required.
• Must complete IBMS Specialist Diploma in Cellular Pathology within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through the different sections of the Pathology Department.
• Work in routine Histopathology and cytology pathways.
• Meet CPD requirements and participate in training and development.
