Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, Salisbury-based PAT Engineer role, delivers in-service inspection and testing of portable electrical equipment across a regulated life sciences site. You will ensure appliances are safe, correctly documented, and compliant with the site's electrical safety programme.

This hands-on, on-site role requires strict adherence to access controls, biosafety/COSHH procedures, RAMS, and CBRE health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2377-22 or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of IET Code of Practice for In-Service Testing of Electrical Equipment.
• Experience carrying out PAT testing in regulated environments.
• Good understanding of electrical safety principles, risk assessment, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual inspection and electrical testing of portable equipment according to standards.
• Plan and prioritise testing across labs, offices, and restricted areas.
• Record results accurately and maintain traceability of tests and certifications.
• Identify faulty equipment and report issues to managers and owners.
• Maintain and update test certificates and logs for audits and compliance.
