Job summary

Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill in Marylebone is seeking a Pastry Commis Chef with flexi hours to join our busy pastry kitchen. You will assist with pastry prep, baking, and presentation to high standards, while maintaining hygiene and allergen controls.

You\'ll support senior pastry chefs with daily operations, receive on-the-job learning, and enjoy employee benefits such as staff meals, hotel stays, and development opportunities across Hyatt Hotels worldwide.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Pastry Commis Chef - Flexi Hours role

Assist the pastry team with the preparation, baking, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring all items are produced to consistently high standards of quality.

Maintain exceptional levels of hygiene, food safety, and allergen control in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Support senior pastry chefs with daily operations, including dough and batter preparation, stock rotation, mise en place, temperature checks, and verifying ingredient deliveries.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues across the pastry and main kitchen teams.

Demonstrate a willingness to learn new pastry skills, techniques, and recipes to further develop professionally and uphold the high standards of the pastry department.

With a positive attitude and a strong team-focused approach, you thrive in fast-paced settings and take pride in maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and service. Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting would be beneficial.
