Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, exclusive dining brands, and unique food halls than any other location in the UK. As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will join a passionate, supportive, and award-winning pastry team within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

As a Commis Chef in our Pastry kitchen, you will prepare various patisserie and baked goods, organize ingredients, and maintain cleanliness. Reporting to the Chef de Partie, you will be a key team member, essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Your responsibilities include organizing, stock rotation, and labeling of food, ensuring administrative tasks are completed on time. You will also uphold Food Safety standards by maintaining high hygiene and sanitation standards across all food outlets.

About You

Having a strong passion for food and drink is essential. You should have some experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally within a 5-star hotel, artisan bakery, or fine-dining restaurant. We will provide training and support to help you become a master within our pastry brigade.

You should possess excellent time-management skills, a customer-focused approach, exceptional interpersonal skills, and attention to detail, demonstrated through paperwork, organization, and stock management.
