Job summary

Langdale Chase Hotel on Lake Windermere seeks a Pastry Chef to join our high-performing brigade led by the Executive Chef. You will craft seasonal desserts and afternoon tea items, using fresh ingredients to create exquisite pastries that delight guests.

You should have at least 2 years’ pastry or bakery experience in a Four- or Five-Star setting, with a passion for quality, consistency and hospitality in a busy luxury hotel environment, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years pastry/bakery experience in a Four-/Five-Star hotel
• Experience creating seasonal desserts and afternoon tea items
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a luxury setting

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality pastry items from scratch
• Create seasonal desserts and afternoon tea items with guidance from Executive Chef
• Manage a pastry section and maintain hygiene and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
• Assist other kitchen members and support team collaboration
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and professionalism
