Job summary

Supply Heroes are partnering with a welcoming Good-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Year Leader on a full-time, long-term basis. The role will lead pastoral support for a designated year group, promote student wellbeing, attendance and safeguarding, and work closely with families and external agencies to provide early intervention.

There is potential for a permanent appointment for the right candidate, with strong focus on safeguarding, inclusion

Qualifications

• Experience as Pastoral Year Leader or equivalent in a UK secondary school.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with pupils, families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead pastoral support for a designated year group.
• Support student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance.
• Work with families and external agencies for early intervention.
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the safeguarding team.
• Contribute to the wider pastoral provision across the school.
