Job summary

King's Academy Ringmer is seeking a Part-time Pastoral Officer to join the Pastoral Team, working under the Assistant Principal. The role concentrates on student welfare, safety and inclusion, especially for vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils.

The post is three days a week, including Mondays and Fridays, and involves running the Ready for Learning room. The position requires an enhanced DBS check and there is no visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check
• Declaration of spent and unspent convictions, cautions and bind-overs

Responsibilities

• Support the Pastoral Team in ensuring the welfare, safety and inclusion of all students
• Assist in managing behaviour support
• Track achievement and behaviour data
• Set detentions
• Oversee the administration of suspensions
• Run the Ready for Learning room
• Support student reintegration, embedding restorative practice
