Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Pastoral Assistant to support students at a secondary school on the Wirral. You will provide pastoral support to students experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties and work with staff to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

The role is full-time, term-time hours, with competitive pay dependent on experience. You will build relationships with students, help monitor attendance and support safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school or similar setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, approachable, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour.

Responsabilités

• Provide pastoral support to students experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Build positive relationships with students, acting as a trusted member of staff.
• Support behaviour management and encourage positive attitudes towards learning.
• Work with teaching, pastoral and SEN staff to support individual student needs.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality and student engagement.
• Promote safeguarding and ensure student wellbeing remains a priority.
