Job summary

Peterhouse CofE Primary Academy is seeking a Pastoral Support Assistant to help support pupil wellbeing and engagement. The role involves working with families and carers, identifying barriers to learning and acting as a bridge between home and school.

The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time plus one week, starting ASAP. A warm, collaborative approach and safeguarding awareness are essential to this rewarding role.

About the Role:

Peterhouse Primary Academy is a welcoming and inclusive school serving a diverse community.Many of our children and families face a range of social and economic challenges and we recognise the important role that strong pastoral and family support can play in helping every child to thrive.

The Pastoral Support Assistant will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing and engagement of pupils, helping to identify and overcome barriers that may affect their learning or experience of school.The role will also include working directly with parents and carers, providing practical support, guidance and a positive link between home and school.

Working closely with colleagues and external agencies, the role provides an opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to children and their families.It is a varied and rewarding position, at the heart of our school community, with relationships and early support central to the work.

We are looking for someone who is:

Working Hours

The successful candidate will work Monday-Friday 08:30-15:30 (with 2 x 30 minute breaks each day)
