Job summary

Dinnington High School is seeking a committed pastoral leader to support the personal development, welfare and behaviour of all students. You will work with key academy staff to ensure that every student is respectful, responsive and resilient, while upholding safeguarding and attendance priorities.

The role is based at Dinnington High School and contributes to day-to-day pastoral leadership, policy implementation and the academy’s high standards of behaviour.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral leadership within secondary education.
• Ability to support student welfare and behaviour improvement.
• Strong communication with staff, students and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day pastoral leadership of the year group.
• Maintain and monitor behaviour, attendance and punctuality.
• Support safeguarding and welfare in conjunction with the safeguarding team.
• Coordinate detentions and on-call systems.
• Liaise with tutors, parents and staff to address issues.
