Darwen Vale High School in Darwen is seeking a Behaviour Manager to join its pastoral leadership team. This non-teaching post will drive positive attitudes to learning, behaviour and safety while supporting students to re-engage with school life.

The role emphasises nurture, restorative approaches, and strong communication with families and external agencies to ensure every student can succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support SLT in developing and maintaining a positive whole-school culture of Attitudes to Learning, Behaviour and Safety.
• Manage challenging pupil behaviour and uphold high, consistent standards across the school.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership on behaviour with monitoring, intervention and restorative approaches.
• Nurture is central, focusing on relationships, wellbeing and helping students overcome barriers to flourish.
