Job summary

South Bromsgrove High is seeking an Assistant Head of Year (Non-Teaching) to provide efficient pastoral support to students and promote positive attitudes to learning, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing.

The role requires liaising with the Head of Year, supporting the implementation of the behaviour policy, and monitoring behaviour and attendance data. It also involves safeguarding, administration and contributing to reintegration meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to students to promote wellbeing and achievement.
• Liaise daily with the Head of Year regarding behaviour, attendance, punctuality and safeguarding concerns.
• Support the implementation of the school's behaviour policy.
• Monitor behaviour, conduct and attendance data.
• Be a visible presence around the school promoting positive behaviour.
• Respond to incidents via the school's on-call system.
• Maintain accurate records of behaviour incidents and safeguarding concerns.
• Support attendance initiatives and year-group administration.
