Job summary

Woodfield Academy is seeking a committed, compassionate Pastoral Assistant to support our behaviour and pastoral systems across the school. Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour, you will take a lead role in our Refocus Room and help pupils regulate, reflect and re-engage with learning.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding procedures, with online checks as part of due diligence in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Qualifications

• GCSE A in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.
• Knowledge of approaches to managing behaviour and behaviour modification strategies.
• Experience of working in a school.

Job description

We are seeking a committed, compassionate and highly organised Pastoral Assistant to support our behaviour and pastoral systems across the school. Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour, you will take a lead role in our Refocus Room and contribute to the wider pastoral provision. You will join a strong, well-established team consisting of four Heads of Year, four Pastoral Managers and the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour. Your work will directly support pupils during moments of difficulty, helping them to regulate, reflect and re-engage positively with learning.
Qualifications in English and Mathematics to at least GCSE A

• -C or equivalent
• Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
• Knowledge of approaches to managing behaviour and behaviour modification strategies
• Experience of working in a school
