Job summary

Outcomes First Group invites applications for a Pastoral Assistant at Longdon Hall School in Lichfield. You will support students with emotional and behavioural needs, safeguarding and wellbeing, helping them engage with learning.

Working with the Senior Leadership Team, Safeguarding Lead and SENCO, you will implement guidance, contribute to EHCP processes, and help families access support and external services.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade C or equivalent.
• Experience supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Calm, resilient and solution-focused in challenging situations.
• Builds positive relationships and earns the trust of young people.
• Passionate about safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
• Works effectively both independently and in a team.
• Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pastoral, emotional and wellbeing support to students.
• Support students during crises and help re-engage with learning.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and professionals.
• Support safeguarding and EHCP processes with leaders.
• Support behaviour, attendance, rewards and intervention programmes.
• Monitor wellbeing and implement appropriate support strategies.
• Assist with meetings, record keeping, reports and communications.
• Support community projects, enrichment opportunities and work experience.
• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive culture throughout the school.
