Outcomes First Group is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Assistant to support students aged 4-16 at Copper Fields School in Gunnislake, Cornwall. You will deliver pastoral and wellbeing support, assist safeguarding processes, and work closely with the SENCO and safeguarding lead to help students stay engaged.
You will build positive relationships with students, families and external professionals, contributing to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment and supporting behaviour and attendance
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Assistant to join our specialist education team and play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels safe, valued and ready to learn. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Safeguarding Lead and SENCO, you will provide pastoral, emotional and behavioural support to students, particularly those requiring additional intervention. You will help students navigate daily challenges, support wellbeing and behaviour strategies, work alongside families and external agencies, and contribute to safeguarding and SEND processes across the school. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to young people's lives while developing their experience within a specialist educational setting. What you will be doing
At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity. We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the sixth year running.
We place students and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
