The pastor of Cornerstone Evangelical Church (CEC), along with the other elders, will be responsible for shepherding the group of believers that make up CEC, to glorify God by developing a gospel-shaped, mission-hearted church community.

As pastor, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of the church’s vision: "encourage one another to be captivated by Christ in order to build a Spirit-filled church that reaches out to our local community with the Father’s love".

Cornerstone Church is a warm and friendly evangelical church based in Abergavenny, a market town in Monmouthshire, Wales. We have around 90 members, with a regular Sunday attendance of 100-130, including 30-40 children and youth.

We are not a perfect church, and we do not expect our new pastor to be perfect either. We recognize that each of us has different giftings, and we do not anticipate our new pastor will excel at everything. However, we are looking for someone who can develop and utilize the gifts of others, as we are "co-workers in God’s service" (1 Cor 3:9).
