Job summary

HARBRON RECRUIT Ltd is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Protection Operative to join an ongoing Exeter project. You will install passive fire protection and fire-stopping systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and site specifications.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection, Blue CSCS card, and prior experience in fire stopping. Immediate start and competitive rates apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection required.
• Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card required.
• Previous experience as Fire Stopper or Passive Fire Protection Operative.
• Good knowledge of passive fire protection systems and installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Install passive fire protection and fire-stopping systems.
• Fire stopping around service penetrations, pipes and cables.
• Install fire-rated batt and mastic systems.
• Apply fire-rated sealants and compounds.
• Install fire collars, sleeves and wraps.
• Perform remedial and upgrade fire-stopping works.
• Work from drawings, specifications and site instructions.
• Ensure installations meet fire safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Complete photographic records and site documentation.

Passive Fire Protection Operative – Exeter

• Location: Exeter, Devon
• Pay Rate: £22.50–£26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Job Type: Ongoing Contract
• Start Date: ASAP

Harbron Recruit are currently seeking an experienced Passive Fire Protection Operative / Fire Stopper to join our team on an ongoing project in Exeter.This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and qualified Passive Fire Protection Operative to secure consistent work with competitive rates of pay.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of passive fire protection and fire-stopping works across the site, ensuring all works are completed safely, correctly and to the required specification.

Duties will include:

• Installing passive fire protection and fire-stopping systems
• Fire stopping around service penetrations, pipes and cables
• Installing fire-rated batt and mastic systems
• Applying fire-rated sealants and compounds
• Installing fire collars, sleeves and wraps
• Carrying out remedial and upgrade fire-stopping works
• Working from drawings, specifications and site instructions
• Ensuring all installations meet the required fire safety and quality standards
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
• Completing photographic records and relevant site documentation

Requirements

will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
• Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card
• relevant to Passive Fire Protection
• Previous experience working as a Fire Stopper / Passive Fire Protection Operative
• Good knowledge of passive fire protection systems and installation methods
• Asbestos Awareness
• Full PPE
• Own relevant hand tools
• A strong understanding of site health and safety requirements
• Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card
• will be required for the role

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

The following would be advantageous:

• FIRAS or BM TRADA experience/accreditation
• UKATA Asbestos Awareness
• PASMA
• IPAF
• Experience working with recognised fire-stopping products and systems
• Experience working from technical drawings and fire-stopping schedules
• Experience completing photographic records and installation documentation
