Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd are recruiting an Estimator – Passive Fire Protection based in Kent with hybrid working. You will visit projects weekly across the South East, liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams while developing detailed cost estimates for fire doors, fire stopping and related protection works.

The role covers tender submissions, pricing, records management and managing projects up to £200k.

Qualifications

• Must have Estimating experience within the fire stopping, fire door, fire protection or security industry
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• Must be a hard worker that’s ready to get stuck in
• High levels of organisation
• Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site

Responsibilities

• Visit projects weekly across the South East (South Coast to Midlands) to gather information and liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams
• Analyse project plans and perform quantity take-offs to estimate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs
• Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and proposals in line with client requirements
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, pricing information and project documentation
• Manage projects ranging in value up to £200k
