Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting for an Estimator – Passive Fire Protection based in Kent with hybrid working options. The role covers the South East and Midlands, delivering cost estimates for fire doors and passive fire protection across commercial, local authorities, and housing sectors.

You will liaise with clients and suppliers, prepare tender submissions, and manage projects up to £200k. A strong estimating background in fire protection is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within fire stopping, fire door, or passive fire protection.
• Excellent communication across all levels, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisation and proactive problem solving.
• Full IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Estimator position promoting a high quality range of fire doors and passive fire protection products.
• Visiting projects weekly across the South East.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
• Analyse project plans and perform quantity take-offs to estimate labour, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and proposals in line with client requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, pricing information and project documentation.
• Manage projects ranging in value up to £200k.
