Job summary

Harmony Fire in Edinburgh is seeking an Assistant Pre-Construction Manager (Passive Fire) to support tender submissions, pricing, and pre-construction activities across the Scottish portfolio. You will work with the Pre-Construction Manager to convert inquiries into winning proposals.

This role offers development in passive fire, building fabric, and commercial pre-construction, with a structured progression path in a fast-growing fire safety specialist.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pre-construction, estimating, or commercial support role within passive fire protection, building fabric, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; comfortable with pricing data and tender documentation.
• Ability to carry out accurate take-offs and quantification from drawings and specifications.
• Edinburgh-based and available full time.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pre-Construction Manager in the preparation of tenders, quotations, and pricing submissions for passive fire protection works across the Scottish portfolio.
• Carry out take-offs and material quantification from drawings, specifications, and survey information.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements, programmes, and supporting documentation for tender submissions.
• Liaise with supply chain, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing and technical information.
• Maintain and update the pre-construction tracker, ensuring all live enquiries, deadlines, and submission statuses are accurately recorded.
• Support site surveys and pre-construction visits, developing understanding of scope and specification requirements.
• Assist with handover of won projects to the delivery team, ensuring all pre-construction information is transferred accurately.
• Develop knowledge of passive fire protection systems, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the pre-construction process and tools.
