Job summary

Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited in London is recruiting a Passive Fire Operative to join our fire safety team, covering London and the surrounding region. The role focuses on fire passive works, including fire doors and fire stopping, in accordance with regulations to keep our properties compliant and safe.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ 2+ in Joinery or Passive Fire Works, have fire safety experience, excellent customer service and driving licence; benefits include pension, life

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ 2 or above in Joinery and/or Passive Fire Works, with original certification available.
• Experience in fire and security environments with knowledge of British Standards and legislation.
• Previous experience working on passive fire works.
• Ability to analyse passive fire works and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• IT systems proficiency; smartphone use advantageous.
• Full UK manual driving licence required for driving company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed.
• Carry out maintenance of systems including fire doors and fire stopping systems to ensure safe and compliant properties.
• Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications, escaping issues as necessary.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets.
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract and service specifications.
