247 Airport Transfer is seeking a Passenger Assistant for school runs. The role involves travelling with the young person in the back of the vehicle, collecting them from home, and dropping them at school, and returning them safely afterwards.

This position often involves working with children who have various special educational needs. Hours are term-time, Monday to Friday, with early morning and afternoon shifts; the pay is 11.50£ per hour, with potential increases after the first year.

Job description

The Passenger Assistant is the person who travels with the young person in the back of the vehicle, collects the young person from home and drops them off safely inside the school and vice-versa.

Most of our school runs are with special educational needs children, which means you will be dealing with at least one special need per person (autism, emotional or behavioural difficulties, Asperger’s syndrome, hearing or sight difficulty, etc).

This is a part-time position, the work is mainly within term times, Monday to Friday, between 06:00 AM or 07:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 14:00 PM and 17:00 PM, but hours vary according to the route you are covering. The payment is 11.50£ per hour, subject to an increase after the first year. You can earn between 16 and 30 h per week.
