Job summary

South Tyneside Council is hiring a Passenger Assistant on a casual basis to supervise pupils on a dedicated school transport service and ensure their safe passage to and from school. Position is pro-rata based on a £26,016 per annum rate, or £13.48 per hour.

The role involves working with the driver and may require local area knowledge. We offer an excellent benefits package and will conduct pre-employment checks including a DBS disclosure.

Passenger Assistant x 3 Posts - Casual (Fleet Services)

£26,016 pa pro rata (£13.48 per hour)

You will travel on a dedicated school transport service and be responsible for supervising pupils and ensuring their safe passage from home to school, working alongside the driver of the transport, on an as and when required basis. Some knowledge of the local area would be helpful.
