Duties of the Parts Supervisor:
- Lead, support, and motivate the Parts team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency
- Manage daily operations within the Parts Department to ensure swift parts supply and minimise vehicle downtime
- Oversee parts procurement, stock management, and inventory control to maintain optimal levels
- Ensure accurate processing of stock receipts, returns, and documentation in line with company standards
- Develop strong working relationships with workshop, sales, and service departments to improve operational flow
- Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to enhance profitability and service quality
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and uphold high standards of department housekeeping
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to preserve the company's reputation
Requirements of the Parts Supervisor:
- Proven experience as a Parts Supervisor or similar role within a commercial vehicle or motor dealership environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of parts ordering, inventory management, and stock control systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and ability to support departmental performance
- Competent IT skills; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Experience with manufacturer warranty processes is advantageous but not mandatory
