Job summary

Dawsongroup EMC is seeking a Parts & Goods Controller in Brighouse to keep our parts operation well organised, balance stock levels with cost and service, and support fleet maintenance across Brighouse, Avonmouth, and field service. You will handle parts requests, receive and store parts, process invoices and returns, and help maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Organised approach to stock, documentation and day-to-day priorities.
• Confidence communicating with engineers, workshop colleagues, suppliers and the wider team.
• Attention to detail when checking invoices, reconciling parts and maintaining accurate records.
• Familiarity with parts books, catalogues or other reference systems would be beneficial.
• Constructive approach to solving queries and finding practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory across Brighouse, Avonmouth, engineer van stocks and impressed stocks, maintaining appropriate seasonal stock levels.
• Handle parts requests from the workshop and Field Service Engineers, purchasing components within agreed limits to support fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Receive, allocate and securely store parts, keeping stock records and documentation accurate and up to date.
• Process invoices, engineer SD sheets, returns and warranty returns accurately and within required reporting deadlines.
• Support stock checks, deliveries and stock movements, while monitoring obsolete and non-moving items and arranging supplier returns where appropriate.
