Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd is seeking a diligent Parts Department assistant to translate customer requirements into accurate spare parts orders. You will review back orders, manage inventory housekeeping, and coordinate daily dispatches from the branch. A strong emphasis is placed on clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Based mainly in the Midlands, the role may require occasional travel and offers a pathway to develop expertise within Crown's aftersales operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a parts department or aftersales environment.
• Solid understanding of inventory procedures and stock control.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with parts/service manuals and ordering software.
• Able to work well in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements for spare parts and confirm correct part numbers.
• Analyse back order reports and spare part requirements for open orders.
• Maintain inventory housekeeping and accurate records.
• Process and coordinate purchase and replenishment orders; picking, packing and dispatch.
• Keep administration and filing systems up to date.
• Role primarily branch-based; some travel around the Midlands.
