Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Parts Advisor to help keep London Fire Brigade vehicles operational. Based on-site at LFB South Ruislip near Uxbridge, you will identify, source and supply parts, support technicians, and manage stock to ensure urgent needs are met.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, building expertise in parts, inventory control and customer service while supporting critical public safety operations. The role is full-time/permanent with a 41.5-hour week on a shift rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle parts department.
• Experience identifying, sourcing and ordering vehicle parts.
• Ability to work in a busy, priority-driven environment.
• Knowledge of automotive parts and stock control systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source and supply parts for vehicles using ordering systems.
• Support workshop technicians with parts requirements, prioritising urgent needs.
• Maintain stock levels and records for parts availability.
• Receive, check and process deliveries; investigate discrepancies.
• Liaise with suppliers to track orders and ensure timely delivery.
