Babcock is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support frontline emergency response vehicles at Ruislip, near London. You will influence vehicle design, maintenance standards and performance, ensuring readiness for critical operations.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills. Onsite, Monday–Friday, 40 hours with a range of benefits and security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet engineering for specialist vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong fault investigation and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience producing technical and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
