Job summary

Babcock International in Ruislip near London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to help ensure emergency service vehicles and equipment are safe, compliant, and reliable for critical operations. Based onsite, you will influence design, standards, and continuous improvement while collaborating with customers and suppliers for fleet performance.

The role emphasizes strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills, with a BPSS clearance pathway and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience producing technical and engineering documentation.
• Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
• Onsite role at Ruislip, 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engineering solutions for specialist vehicle and equipment projects.
• Producing technical specifications, engineering documentation and compliance records.
• Investigating technical issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal teams to support fleet performance and continuous improvement.
• Supporting compliance with engineering standards, regulations and safety requirements.
