Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to deliver engineering solutions for specialist vehicle projects and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role is onsite in Ruislip, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will produce technical specifications, engineering documentation, and support continuous improvement while collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal teams to optimize fleet performance.

Qualifications

• Fleet engineering experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong technical problem-solving and fault investigation skills.
• Experience producing technical and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Equivalent extensive vocational qualification and/or significant relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering solutions for specialist vehicle and equipment projects.
• Produce technical specifications, engineering documentation and compliance records.
• Investigate technical issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to support fleet performance and continuous improvement.
• Support compliance with engineering standards, regulations and safety requirements.
