Job summary

Wessex Garages in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Parts Advisor and Driver to join a small, dynamic team. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will ensure workshop Technicians and retail customers receive the right parts promptly and accurately.

The role combines parts sourcing, stock control, and local deliveries, requiring excellent customer service, clear communication, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have full, clean UK driving licence.
• Experience in automotive parts is desirable.
• Able to work as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to workshop Technicians and retail customers by identifying and supplying the correct parts.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Process parts orders, quotations, and sales accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver and collect parts to and from customers, suppliers, and company sites as required.
• Work closely with the Parts team to ensure stock availability and seamless day-to-day operations.
• Receive, check, and organise stock deliveries, ensuring parts are stored correctly and accurately recorded.
• Assist with stock control activities, including stock checks and inventory management.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the Parts Department and delivery vehicle.
• Develop a good understanding of customer requirements and recommend suitable products and services.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and within agreed timescales.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Have a positive, flexible approach to work and be willing to support colleagues where needed.
• Be comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving vehicle parts.
• Be confident using computer systems and handling administrative tasks accurately.
• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

The role
