Job summary

Marshall Volkswagen Reading is seeking a proactive Parts Advisor to join the aftersales team and help keep our workshop moving efficiently. You will handle parts arrivals, organize stock, and provide quick, expert responses to workshop and customer inquiries, while coordinating with service and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Parts Advisor preferred in franchised dealership.
• Able to follow established processes and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and accurately record all incoming parts and stock deliveries.
• Store and organise parts, maintaining clear, up-to-date inventory records in internal systems.
• Respond to internal workshop and external customer enquiries in person, by phone and via email, delivering a quick and expert service.
• Pick and distribute parts for technicians, working closely with service advisors and the sales team to keep every job on schedule.

Parts Advisor

Full-time | Monday – Friday, with Saturdays on a rotational basis

At Marshall Volkswagen Reading, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and well-organised Parts Advisor to join our aftersales team and support seamless workshop operations.

In this role:

• You’ll receive, unload and accurately record all incoming parts and stock deliveries.
• You’ll store and organise parts, maintaining clear, up-to-date inventory records in our internal systems.
• You’ll respond to internal workshop and external customer enquiries in person, by phone and via email, delivering a quick and expert service.
• You’ll pick and distribute parts for technicians, working closely with service advisors and the sales team to keep every job on schedule.

We’re looking for:

• Someone with previous experience as a Parts Advisor, ideally within a franchised dealership.
• Someone comfortable following established processes and procedures, and working both independently and as part of a team.
• Someone motivated, organised and who prioritises Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Someone tech-savvy and confident using iPad or similar software for inventory management.
• Most importantly, someone who takes pride in delivering a positive experience for every customer and colleague, every time.
