Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a Parts Advisor for our Fiat branch in Dunfermline. You will help keep workshops stocked with the right parts, update customers on their vehicle journey, and receive comprehensive training to use our systems. No prior parts experience required, with a clear pathway to progression.

Full-time hours, Monday to Friday 8am–5:30pm with alternate Saturdays 8am–12pm. Benefits include a competitive OTE of £42,500, 33 days holiday, pension, private healthcare, and training

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred or demonstrated ability.
• Stock management and inventory awareness.
• Clear and effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Comfortable using computers; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts required for vehicles.
• Order parts from internal/external sources.
• Pick and pack parts for workshops/work orders.
• Communicate with the workshop and customers.
• Provide quick, accurate service and invoicing.
• Assist with stock checks and control.

We’re looking for a Parts Advisor to work at our Fiat branch in Dunfermline. You don’t need to have previous parts experience to apply, as we’ll provide comprehensive training.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8am - 12pm

About the role

Do you have customer service skills and experience working with stock?

Our Parts Advisors are responsible for keeping our workshops well-stocked with the right parts to maintain our vehicles whilst also updating customers in relation to their vehicle journey through every stage of the process.

If you’ve worked in a retail environment before and have experience managing stock, you’ll already have some of the traits of a successful Parts Advisor. You’ll need to be comfortable using computers, but don’t worry – we’ll provide all the training you’ll need to use our systems.

Day-to-day duties

• Identifying parts required for a vehicle
• Ordering parts from internal and external sources
• Picking and packing parts
• Communicating with the workshop
• Providing a quick and accurate service to our customers
• Invoicing
• Reviewing digital communications for customers
• Stock management

Essential skills

• Keen to learn, with a can-do attitude
• The ability to work independently, but also as part of a team working towards the same goals
• A great communicator – friendly, clear and concise
• Enjoy working with your customers
• Happy using computers, although we’ll provide training on all the systems you’ll need
