Job summary

Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes is seeking a confident Business & Partnerships Executive to grow our portfolio of business supporters through sponsorship, events and payroll giving. You’ll build lasting partnerships, manage accounts, and deliver compelling stories of our impact across local businesses.

With a salary circa £28,000 per annum and a 35-hour week, the role involves occasional evenings and weekends to support events.

Qualifications

• Experienced in relationship management, fundraising, business development, account management or customer service.
• A confident communicator who engages business contacts, donors and community members with clarity, warmth and professionalism.
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing deadlines and accounts.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and data to prioritise relationships and spot new opportunities.
• Knowledgeable about what motivates businesses to give, including corporate social responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of business supporters, providing professional, personalised account management so every partner feels valued and informed.
• Research and approach new businesses, shaping tailored partnership proposals and growing a strong pipeline of future support.
• Create opportunities for companies to get involved through sponsorship, events, staff fundraising, payroll giving, cause‑related marketing and gifts in kind.
• Deliver stewardship plans that deepen relationships and encourage multi‑year support.
• Represent the Hospice at networking events, meetings and corporate events, working with Fundraising, Marketing and Supporter Care colleagues to share compelling stories of our impact.
• Keep accurate CRM records to support planning and reporting, ensuring all activity meets fundraising regulations and Hospice policies.
