Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking a part-time (22.5 hours) YJS role to spearhead remand practice across the Brighton and East Sussex partnership. The post is fixed-term to March 2029, with a focus on reducing remand numbers and improving outcomes for vulnerable children.

You will coordinate agencies, review current practice, identify gaps, train carers, and engage with diverse partners to deliver effective programmes and resources. Interview date is to be confirmed.

Formación

• Experience in statutory Youth Justice or Social Work.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Probation, DipSW or equivalent).
• Ability to lead partnerships and develop services for children at risk of remand.

Responsabilidades

• Lead excellent practice across the remand partnership.
• Develop an enhanced offering for children at risk of secure remand.
• Coordinate the pan Sussex Remand Partnership Steering Group with partners.
