Job summary

Bristol City Council is recruiting a Youth Justice Support Worker to join the City Hall Bristol team. This part-time fixed-term role (17.5 hours/week for 12 months) focuses on preventing offending, reducing re-offending and safeguarding children and young people.

You will work with partner agencies to support families, enable access to positive activities and deliver targeted interventions for young people involved with Out of Court Disposals or avoidance programs, while maintaining safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Provide support to children and families to address factors that put the child at risk of involvement in offending behaviour.
• Enable children and young people to access positive activities.
• Deliver targeted interventions for those who have received an Out of Court Disposal or other prevention work.
• Support work in schools and other settings to prevent youth violence and conflict.
