Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Waste Management Operative for a Belfast location. The role focuses on cleaning to required standards, safe chemical use, and correct disposal of waste, including potential biohazards.

You will work a 20-hour week pattern with flexibility across Mon-Sun shifts, with a focus on safety and efficient housekeeping. Applicants should have basic training in safety, good time management, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Full driving licence required.
• Good time-management and attention to detail.
• Basic reading/writing/listening skills for safety instructions.
• Customer-focused with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently to the required standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by guidelines.
• Ensure full working knowledge of cleaning equipment after training.
• Report immediately any equipment that is faulty.
• Ensure safety signage is used at all times.
• Keep cleaning stores tidy and store equipment safely.
• Be knowledgeable in biohazards and cleaning of bodily fluids.
• Safe disposal of sharps such as needles and blades.
• Comply with client and Mount Charles security regulations.
• Removal and disposal of large bulky waste items.
• Use of power hose for specified periods.
