Job summary

Chester Zoo is seeking a part-time Food & Beverage Warehouse & Logistics Assistant to support on-site operations. You will handle deliveries, stock control, and ensure food safety standards across the zoo's outlets, while coordinating with internal teams to meet daily demand.

This role offers 20 hours per week on a rota basis, with shifts between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Experience in warehouse or logistics and a UK driving licence are preferred; forklift licence desirable.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control environment.
• Good understanding of food safety standards.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident using stock systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and processing deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Organising and maintaining warehouse storage and stock locations.
• Picking and distributing stock across the site to support operational teams.
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• Working closely with internal teams to meet operational demand.
• Supporting stock takes and ongoing stock control processes.
