Job summary

The University of Lancashire invites applications for several part-time roles in the School of Veterinary Medicine to support practical teaching sessions, including clinical skills and animal handling. The posts may involve teaching at external locations and supporting student selection events, assessments and placements.

Availability during Semester 1 (October–December 2026) with a half or full day per week across several weeks.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) or eligible to register with the RCVS.
• Experience of working within a clinical veterinary setting and knowledge of current UK veterinary practice.
• No prior teaching experience required; passion for veterinary medicine and student support.

Responsibilities

• Support practical sessions such as clinical skills and animal handling teaching.
• Assist with student selection events, student assessments and placements.
• Potential involvement in teaching at external or off-site locations.
