Job summary

The University of Glasgow’s School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine seeks a part-time Clinician in Anaesthesia to deliver an efficient anaesthesia service for Small Animal and Equine Hospital. The role includes teaching undergraduates and clinical scholars, plus contributing to research within the anaesthesia service.

Essential: veterinary degree registrable with RCVS and residency training; desirable: research training and teaching qualifications.

Qualifications

• Essential: Veterinary degree registerable with RCVS.
• Completion of recognised residency training programme.
• ECVAA/ACVAA Diploma or RCVS CertAVP in anaesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality anaesthesia service and advise external practices and owners.
• Support development of novel approaches and techniques to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Contribute to clinical quality assurance measures.
• Participate in out-of-hours service with supervision and expertise.
