Job summary

Conferma, a global payment technology company, is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage the full UK payroll and coordinate international payrolls. The role collaborates with HR and Finance, ensuring statutory compliance and accuracy while driving process improvements.

The position is part-time (25–30 hours weekly) with a salary up to £35,000 pro-rata, plus a 10% bonus. A comprehensive benefits package supports work-life balance and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or coordinating an in-house payroll.
• Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including HMRC and pension requirements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Experience working collaboratively with Finance, HR and external payroll providers.
• Ability to investigate and resolve payroll queries confidently.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly UK payroll cycle, from inputs to payments and statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UK PAYE, National Insurance, RTI, pension requirements.
• Coordinate outsourced payrolls across four overseas countries with timely approvals and funding.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and variance analysis to support Finance.
• Work with HR on starters, leavers, salary changes, amendments and absences.
• Maintain robust payroll controls, audit trails, and documentation.
• Support year-end activities, audits, and payroll system changes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
