Job summary

Chemify Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a reliable Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The role is up to 20 hours per week, with a focus on accurate and timely payroll processing and confidentiality. You will collaborate with HR and finance to ensure payroll deadlines are met and records are up to date.

The ideal candidate has payroll experience, knowledge of UK PAYE, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. A payroll qualification (CIPP/IAB) is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing and administration.
• Knowledge of UK PAYE and national insurance requirements.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records.
• Handle starters, leavers, pay changes, deductions and overtime.
• Calculate statutory payments and NI deductions.
• Respond to payroll queries with professionalism.
• Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
• Stay updated on payroll legislation and procedures.
