Job summary

Based in Barnet, Mencap is seeking a part-time Fair Shot Tutor to empower young people with learning disabilities to build confidence and lasting employability skills. You will teach Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2, deliver employability and workplace skills, and support learners in the classroom and their work placements.

A Level 3 Award in Education (or equivalent) with willingness to progress to Level 5, GCSE English and Maths, safeguarding training, enhanced DBS checks, and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEND learners in a teaching or training environment.
• Experience delivering and assessing Functional Skills English & Maths.
• Strong planning, organisation and classroom management abilities.
• Minimum Level 3 Award in Education (or equivalent), willingness to progress to Level 5.
• GCSE English and Maths (A–C / 9–4 or equivalent).

Responsibilities
