Leicester City Council seeks a part-time driver to support transport services for children and vulnerable adults from Sulgrave Road, on term-time routes. You will carry out safety checks, load and assist passengers, and ensure comfort and wellbeing on every journey.

Working hours are 07:30–10:30 and 14:30–16:30, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, with a focus on safety, courtesy, and reliable service. Salary is set for 15,015 GBP per year.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Full UK driving licence with D1 category.
• Driver CPC (DCPC) qualification.
• Ability to work term-time schedule (38 weeks per year).

Responsabilités

• Transport vulnerable passengers between home, school, day centres and other establishments.
• Carry out daily and weekly routine and safety checks on the vehicle.
• Ensure passenger wellbeing and provide a caring, safe journey.
• Communicate with service users, family members and staff to ensure safety and satisfaction.
