Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Generic Therapy Support Worker (Band 3) to join the therapy team at the Good Hope site. The role supports Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services for older people, working under supervision within an acute hospital setting.

The post is 22.5 hours per week, with a focus on delivering delegated clinical interventions and contributing to a defined caseload.

Qualifications

• Interest in Older People and Medicine; experience in therapy treatment of these patient groups.
• Good clinical and interpersonal skills; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in a seven-day service as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated aspects of clinical intervention under supervision and report progress to the Senior Therapist.
• With training, complete initial screening assessments and follow referral criteria.
• Support patient progression towards discharge or transfer of care in collaboration with the MDT.
