Job summary

Buitelaar Group is recruiting an experienced part-time Technical Manager to join the Commercial Team in Harrogate. The role focuses on quality assurance, BRCGS compliance, and supplier management, with 2-3 flexible days per week and some travel to partners and customers in the UK and Europe.

As technical lead, you will train and coach the QA Lead, promote a strong food safety culture, and ensure raw materials and suppliers meet required standards. Experience in the meat sector is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat sector and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of BRCGS, RTA and Organic certification requirements.
• Audit readiness and supplier quality management.

Responsibilities

• Manage BRCGS Agents and Brokers certification and audit readiness.
• Conduct supplier approvals and due dil igence visits.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to maintain technical standards.
• Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances and quality issues.
• Review specifications, artwork and technical documentation.
• Act as technical lead for the business.
