Job summary

St Augustine's of Canterbury RC Primary School is seeking a confident and organised Teaching Assistant (Level 2B) to join the team for 16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:40am - 11:55am. The role requires an NVQ Level 2 or above and experience in a classroom setting.

You will support the Teacher, monitor pupil progress, and provide short-term class cover as needed. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 (or above) qualification is required.
Experience working with children in a classroom setting is essential.
Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills are needed to support the Teacher.

Responsibilities

Implement structured learning activities for individuals and groups under the teacher's direction.
Monitor personal, social and emotional needs of pupils.
Develop positive relationships with pupils to promote progress.
Assist in setting and reviewing individual targets for pupils.
Provide short-term cover for classes when the TA is absent.
Produce classroom resources and assist with admin tasks.
Support pupil supervision and behaviour management.
Assist with out-of-class activities and learning experiences.
