Job summary

Byerley Park Primary School in Newton Aycliffe is seeking a highly motivated teaching assistant to join our dedicated team. The role is temporary, part-time (16.25 hours/week), term-time plus 2 weeks, with hours 9:00–12:15 and afternoons negotiable.

The successful candidate will support in class, assist with individuals and groups, cover classes when needed, and work well with children with SEND needs. Eligibility includes 5 GCSEs A-C including English/Maths and a TA qualification.

Qualifications

• Has experience of working with individuals and groups of children and supporting in class.
• Has experience of covering a whole class in the absence of a teacher.
• Has experience of working with children with SEND needs.
